The Day In Between

The day in between Good Friday and Easter Sunday always feels odd to me. I want to say that "Christ is risen, He is risen indeed." But that is for tomorrow. And so today, I focused on cleaning my studio and then moved out to the garden where I cleared away dead material around the perennials so that the new green shoots have room to breathe. I am envious of my garden and studio. There is room to breathe. I want to breathe! I long to be made new.

Good Friday

My daughters and I relaxed in Duke Gardens today, it was indeed a Good Friday!

Tin Man

"Now I know I have a heart because it's breaking."
Ginger loved the Wizard of Oz! Amy emailed this quote from the Tin Man to us this week and it strikes at the core of our grief. Thank you, Amy.

Things She Loved...

Lady in Red, Simon Bull
Ginger loved Simon Bull's work. Midge , Amy, and I were with Ginger when she spotted this giclee at a gallery in Chapel Hill a few years ago. The print, autographed by the artist hangs above her fireplace in her family room in her home.
